Will an IVA affect my business?
Unlike bankruptcy, with an IVA:
- there is no requirement to cease to trade
- a partnership does not have to be dissolved
- there is no requirement to inform creditors of the IVA if you incur credit of over £500
- you can continue to act as a director in a business
However, your name will appear on the insolvency register which is available online and the IVA will affect your credit rating.
