Can a local solicitor or CAB get your bankruptcy order annulled?
Obtaining an annulment (or cancellation) of a bankruptcy order is not a simple process. Indeed, many general practice solicitors are often confused by the raft of legislation concerning this complex area of law.
It is extremely unlikely that your solicitor or Citizens Advice Bureau will be able to:
- provide the requisite funds for paying your debts, or
- draft a proposal for an Individual Voluntary Arrangement ("IVA"), or
- act as an Insolvency Practitioner in relation to an IVA proposal, or
- make an application to court and obtain an annulment of the bankruptcy order
